OUR SERVICES
DESIGN
Before starting production, we always prepare drawings for confirmation, so our customers know exactly what we are delivering and if amendments are required they can be made easily. We have professional indemnity insurance and directly employ in-house engineers to produce calculations and designs. We use Tekla, Solidworks and Autocad.
FABRICATION
Our skilled tradesmen are the key to the success of our fabrication process. CME offers MIG/MAG/TIG welding services. Only certified and experienced welders are employed at our company and all of our equipment is regularly updated and serviced. After welding all welding joints are cleaned and visually inspected and where required we provide 3rd party testing.
PLASMA, LASER & WATER JET CUTTING
CME offers plasma, laser and water jet cutting of carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium sheets and tubes.
PLATE AND SECTION PROFILING
Sheet bending is performed with modern bending machines, by experienced workers. We have in-house plate and section rolls that usually covers all the range required by our clients designs. Tube bending is performed using both manual and a modern CNC tube bending machine.
MANUFACTURING
We have made a massive range of items over the years and pride ourselves on having tooling for almost any job. CME develops and produces small to medium batches of products for our clients. With the exception of galvanising, we manufacture and apply wet paint and powder coatings to our stainless steel, carbon and aluminium products for our clients.
PROTECTIVE COATINGS
CME carries out in house corrosion protection. Our dedicated painting facility applies single and 2 pack wet paints, powder coating and intumescent paint applications. All our coatings take place in our temperature controlled spray shop.
TRANSPORT & LIFTING
Our transport fleet includes a twin axle rigid truck with lorry loading crane and 7.5T and 3.5T flat bed trucks. Our lorry mounted crane provides a significant advantage and removes the need for cranage hire. We manage the transportation process to ensure deliveries are on time and cost effective.
SITE INSTALLATION
Our in-house installation crews deliver our site works in an efficient, timely and safe manner.
Our contracts managers liaise with our steel erection crew to ensure that all standards are met in relation to performance, specification and health and safety regulations.
All site crews are also trained to statutory regulations including Safepass, working at heights, manual handling and use of various tools and equipment.
